Pearl may still be a kitten herself, but she has already graduated from motherhood after raising five very active babies like a total pro. Now that her mama duties are officially behind her, Pearl is ready to focus on the important things in life: toys, sunny windows, dramatic stretches, and being adored by humans. This buff-and-cream beauty has bright green eyes, a tiny speck of black on her forehead, and enough confidence and personality for an entire pride of cats. Pearl is social, affectionate, and convinced that whatever you’re doing is exactly what she should also be doing. Whether that means playtime with spring toys, supervising chores, lounging in a sunny window, or demanding attention with her adorable conversational meows, Pearl is happiest being part of the action. She loves people and isn’t shy about asking for pets, food, or general admiration. Pearl is cuddly, enjoys being carried around, permits nail trims, and absolutely melts into loud purrs when she’s happy. She’s also an expert scratcher-post user and especially enjoys tall scratching posts so she can demonstrate her full-body “big stretch” technique. After giving birth, a follow-up veterinary visit revealed a mild grade 1–2 heart murmur. At this stage, it may simply mean she needs a little extra monitoring beyond routine annual visits, and it does not typically progress into serious heart disease. Her spay surgery was completed successfully with some extra precautions, and she’s doing wonderfully. Pearl was very protective of her kittens while in the sanctuary, so we don’t yet know how she feels about other adult cats or dogs outside of “mom mode.” Because of that, we think she would thrive as a spoiled singleton, though there’s a possibility she may adjust to another calm pet with proper introductions. She has done wonderfully with adults, strangers, and would likely do best with gentle, respectful children.
