About Nica
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Meet Nica, a fearless little spark with a heart as big as her personality. Nica’s story starts with resilience. Found as a kitten and brought into care in March, she needed surgery to remove a painful, non-vision eye. She has taken it all in stride and has not let it slow her down for a second. If anything, it has made her even more unforgettable. This girl is confident, curious, and full of life. Nica is the kind of cat who walks into a room like she owns it, then immediately wins everyone over. She is fast on her feet, always exploring, climbing, and getting involved in whatever is going on. Whether you are playing or relaxing, she is happy to join in. Her motto is simple: if you are doing it, she is too. With only one eye, she needs a bit of time to learn new environments and judge the distance for her acrobatic leaps through the air, but once she figures it out, she’s a champ. Nica is affectionate, loves attention, is always ready to interact, and has major FOMO if left out of the action. While she is not very vocal, her loud, happy purr says everything you need to know. She is very playful and enjoys carrying around her favorite toy, a purple octopus. She also appreciates a cozy nap in a sunny spot or tucked into a soft cave and loves snuggling up to her human(s) to sleep at night. Nica is wonderfully social and has done well with cats, dogs, and people alike. A little transition time is all she needs, usually just a few hours, and then she is right back to her confident, outgoing self. Because she enjoys companionship and activity, she would love a home with another cat. Nica is the perfect mix of playful energy and sweet affection, with just the right amount of independence. She brings a little bit of joy and excitement wherever she goes, and it is easy to see why everyone who meets her becomes completely smitten. If you are looking for a fun, loving, and resilient companion who will keep life interesting, Nica is ready to steal your heart. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
