Meet Chick! She is about four-and-a-half months old, weighs about 24 pounds and is spayed. Chick is living in a foster home so if you're interested in adopting her, the first step is to email us at pets@michianapets.org for an application. Chick needs to be adopted into a home with a confident, friendly dog. Interested adopters must have experience with German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois and/or working dogs. Here's a note from her foster mom: "I love Chick and hope she finds the best home! Over the past few weeks, she has really come out of her shell and she has no chill! She is a girl-on-the-go and would love an adopter who is just as energetic and active! I think she is ready to leave the nest, haha! It's been so fun to watch Chick gain more confidence and come out of her shell. She is a very smart puppy and wants to learn! She has already learned how to sit, shake and lay down. She enjoys playing with toys and really loves any type of enrichment game like searching for treats under tennis balls in a muffin tin! She doesn't hesitate to go into her crate when it's time to rest and if she stays on her schedule, I think she has the potty-training down! Chick is a total busy body! She has to do be doing something at all times so whoever adopts her, needs to be ready to train her and give her both daily physical and mental exercise to set her up for success and a happy life!" -Chick's foster mom.
