About Roscoe

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes Good with kids: Yes Crate trained: Yes House Trained: Yes Roscoe is a melt-your-heart sweet dog who is ready for a new lease on life. This medium-energy boy loves to spend time outside, walking or playing with doggy friends. Roscoe is looking for an understanding home where he can continue to learn to be brave and get as much love as he gives. Roscoe feels comfortable and confident when he's at home. When he's in unfamiliar settings he is less sure of things, and needs encouragement to meet new people and explore new surroundings. A treat goes a long way to helping Roscoe feel brave when he's meeting someone new! This very good boy has been wonderful with the kids he's met, and has even been a wonderful housemate to a cat. Roscoe is open and friendly with other dogs, offering them cues that he would like to play and respecting their boundaries if they don't. He would enjoy having a canine sibling to look up to and lean on when he feels unsure of himself. Roscoe enjoys wrestling with his doggy friends and digging through his toys to find just the right squeaky toy. Roscoe is crated consistently during the day and overnight and settles in immediately. He likes to have his crate in a central location so he can go into it and keep an eye on the house from his safe space. Roscoe is also fully house trained. This beautiful pup enjoys walks and behaves well on his leash. If he feels nervous or uncertain about something, Roscoe will turn to check in with you and gain confidence from that connection. Continuing positive reinforcement training will help him to feel more confident and secure as he moves through the world. Roscoe will absolutely blossom with patience, time, and love. Could you be the one who will help him shine? Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line.
