My name is Butterscotch, “Butters” for short.  I have the softest tummy and velvety ears.   I’m learning to be a pet, instead of someone’s ignored dog. I haven’t had much attention, in my previous life. So, I’m new at a lot of things and very shy with new people. I’m doing well at crate and house training. I love toys and other dogs. I’m uncertain and curious around cats.  I’d probably do well in a home with older children. Looking in the mirror fascinates me. I try to find the dog inside. I can climb a chain link fence.  So, you must be willing to stay with me, in the yard or commit to leash walking (which I’m learning) I will come to you when you’re sitting. I love toys snuggle and get my belly rubbed, on the couch. But, I have to gain your trust first.  I’m fearful of standing people for now.   We are working through our issues and improving daily.
