About Salem

Salem is a 7-year-old hunk of love with one eye, a giant heart, and an even bigger appreciation for snacks. Now, technically Salem has a “primordial pouch,” but let’s all be honest with ourselves… that belly isn’t preparing him for survival in the wild. Salem simply loves his food and it shows in the most adorable way possible. His chunky little waddle only adds to his charm. Salem is wonderful with cats, dogs, and children. He’s easygoing, affectionate, and happiest when he’s being loved on by his humans. In fact, Salem absolutely adores being held and would gladly spend hours curled up in your lap soaking up attention. If you’re looking for a cuddly companion, this is your guy. Salem lost one of his eyes as a kitten after being born with a severe eye issue, but he has never let that slow him down. He wears his one-eyed look proudly and somehow manages to be even more handsome because of it. While Salem does still enjoy playing from time to time, speed and athleticism are not exactly his strengths. He participates enthusiastically… just at his own pace. Think “retired athlete enjoying the good life” energy. Salem is the perfect match for someone wanting a sweet, laid-back lap cat with a goofy personality and endless affection to give. He’s proof that the best companions sometimes come with a little extra fluff and a lot of character.
