Meet Emmy — affectionately known around the rescue as “Mustache Momma.” 🖤🤍 This beautiful 7-year-old girl was found as a stray and spent quite a while learning how to trust people again. Because she was so shy at first, Emmy stayed in the rescue president’s home where she slowly blossomed into the loving, attention-seeking queen she is today. While her original name was Mustache Momma, “Emmy” ended up fitting her sweet and sophisticated personality perfectly. Once Emmy comes out of her shell, she becomes the center of attention — literally. If someone else is getting petted nearby, Emmy fully believes that affection should belong to her instead. She absolutely adores being loved on and will happily insert herself into every cuddle session. She’s also very food motivated, which may explain her adorable extra few pounds. Emmy has experience living with both dogs and cats. She does well with smaller dogs and could adjust to larger dogs with a proper introduction period. She’s also great with older children who understand how to respect a cat’s space. One of Emmy’s biggest comforts is companionship. She has lived in a home with 12 other cats and truly thrives in a multi-cat household where she always has company nearby. She enjoys being part of the group and would do wonderfully in a home with feline friends. Emmy is the perfect mix of sweet, sassy, and affectionate. If you’re looking for a cat who will keep you company, supervise every petting session, and make herself the star of the household, Emmy is ready to claim her throne in your home. Adoption fee is $175 PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT: - Transport meets in Brattleboro, VT - ***ALL ANIMALS ARE CURRENTLY IN LONG BEACH, MISSISSIPPI.*** We transport adopted animals every 2-3 weeks to Northeast states.  Completed applications take precedence over inquiries. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. We will discuss additional details with potential adopters once we have an application on file.  For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. We are located in an overpopulated area surrounded by high-kill shelters. Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel.
