Meet Cosmo, a handsome 2-year-old black cat with a big personality waiting to shine. Since arriving at the shelter, Cosmo has been taking his time adjusting-big changes can be tough for him, and he may be shy or reserved when you first meet him. But with a little patience and understanding, his true colors begin to show. Once Cosmo feels safe and comfortable, he blossoms into a friendly, affectionate, and playful companion who loves being part of the action. In fact, he's happiest when he's the center of attention and soaking up all the love from his favorite people. Whether he's chasing toys, asking for pets, or simply hanging out nearby, Cosmo knows how to make his presence known. Cosmo has experience living with children, other cats, and dogs, giving him the potential to fit into many different types of homes. He's looking for a family willing to give him the time he needs to settle in-and in return, you'll get a loving, entertaining best friend who's worth the wait. Change is hard for this cat. This cat will be very nervous when you first bring them home. You will need to set up a room with a litter box, food, and water. It will take days for this cat to become comfortable and confident in the new home. This cat will be going home with a behavior plan that will need to be followed in order for everyone to transition successfully. Ready to Adopt? You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You'll be able to meet available cats in the shelter.
