Meet Scooby-Doo: 110 Pounds of Love, Chaos, and Counter Surveillance Are you looking for a dog who will fill your home with love, laughter, and the occasional missing sandwich? Then Scooby-Doo may be your guy. Scooby-Doo is a 110-pound gentle giant who is absolutely convinced he is a tiny lap dog. Your lap may disagree. Your spine may file complaints. Scooby remains committed to the dream. This oversized goober is social, affectionate, sweet, and hilariously unaware of his own size. He loves leaning into his people like he’s trying to merge souls. Scooby’s favorite activities include: • Being everybody’s best friend • Full-body leaning hugs • Trotting happily on walks like the goodest gentleman • Playing like a giant puppy • Searching for snacks with the determination of a seasoned detective And when we say “searching for snacks,” we mean: nothing. is. safe. Counters? Checked. Garbage cans? Investigated thoroughly. Groceries you just brought in? Under active surveillance. A loaf of bread pushed “far enough back”? Scooby appreciates your optimism. This boy is deeply committed to finding food in all the wrong places, and honestly, if there were an Olympic sport for counter surfing, he’d at least qualify for regionals. Because of his size and his extremely enthusiastic culinary investigations, Scooby-Doo should live in an adult-only home. Little humans tend to accidentally leave snacks within giraffe-range, and Scooby simply lacks the moral framework to ignore them. It’s not personal. It’s science. The good news is that Scooby is smart, eager to learn, and currently attending school to polish up his manners and skills. He walks well on leash, seems to get along with other dogs, and genuinely wants to be a good boy. He’s just working through a few “the kitchen is a buffet” beliefs. Scooby-Doo would thrive with people who: • Appreciate giant affectionate dogs • Have a sense of humor • Don’t mind sharing their personal space • Can secure a garbage can like it contains classified government documents • Want a loyal best friend who doubles as a kitchen security challenge At the end of the day, Scooby-Doo is all heart: goofy, loving, gentle, and endlessly entertaining. If you’ve been searching for a sweet giant shadow who will adore you with every ounce of his 110-pound body, Scooby is ready to lean directly into your life — probably while checking your countertop for snacks.
