About Bane

Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Say hello to Bane! If you're on the lookout for a big, dopey goofball, Bane truly fits the bill. This 6-year-old cane corso tips the scales at about 97 pounds, bringing the energy (and size!) of a small horse into your life. Despite his impressive stature, Bane is generally very aware of his size, which means he avoids being a 'bull in a china shop.' He can get a bit excited and pull on the leash at the start of a walk, but settles in well once that initial burst of energy passes and listens nicely to corrections. Bane is an all-star companion—he knows lots of cues, loves giving kisses on demand, and is absolutely obsessed with car rides. While he might seem stoic at first, he's all about play bows and treating life like a game. Don’t let his age fool you—he’s still full of energy, always ready for long walks, games of fetch, or playtime with plush toys. He has gotten along nicely with other dogs during his time at the shelter, but he’s more interested in people and cars than canine company. Bane is looking for a home without cats and with children over 12. Ideal adopters will have experience with his breed or a similar breed. Due to his “restricted breed” status, adopters must own their own home or live with a family member who does. As a Capricorn, Bane is loyal, determined, and always up for a new adventure! Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!
