About Rummy
Rummy is a 1.5-year-old Yorkie who treats every day like an adventure. He’s an 11-pound, lively fellow with a healthy dose of confidence who goes all-in on fun—chasing squirrels, keep-away, walks, and greeting every human within range. Rummy’s last home was full of love but lacked the time and stimulation he craves, so he’s embraced foster life in League City, TX, ready for someone who can keep him engaged. Crate-trained and more than happy to cuddle on your pillow if you say the word, Rummy also has a signature move: hauling his blankie around the house like a loyal sidekick. It’s part comfort, part charm, and fully non-negotiable—he’ll need understanding people willing to let him keep that little bit of security. He’s sharp, picks up commands quickly, and already uses the doggie door most of the time but is still polishing up house-training. Manners-wise, he’ll announce visitors with a bark and sometimes pulls on the leash. If anyone tries to take his blankie, expect a nippy protest; Rummy’s working on his sharing skills, but a home with older kids or adults would suit him best. After a busy day, he’s content to lounge for pets and praise. If you want a smart, affectionate, and fun-loving sidekick, Rummy’s ready. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Yorkshire Terriers like Rummy don’t require a large yard but appreciate regular walks and playtime outside. A secure area for quick play sessions is ideal, but daily walks and interaction are more important than yard size.
