About Betty

Betty is a 10-year-old Yorkie who has faced some tough roads but takes everything in stride. Originally found as a stray with a torn Achilles tendon, she has undergone surgery and a challenging recovery, including physical therapy and brace use. Betty’s hind leg is now fixed in one position, slightly shorter than the other, but it rarely slows her down—she simply lifts it while trotting along and has no idea she’s any different. She is the gentlest sweetheart, always eager to be near people and happily rides in a stroller to stay close to her foster family. Despite a recent case of pancreatitis that required a special diet and some dental issues, Betty adapts well and cheerfully greets everyone she meets. She gets along with other dogs but would be better in a home without young children. If you’re ready to give a small, resilient companion a safe and loving place to land, Betty could be your perfect match. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
