About Peanut
Peanut is searching for her new forever home after her elderly person couldn't care for her anymore. She carries a gentle, affectionate spirit—walking, car rides, playtime, snuggles, and kisses all bring her joy. Peanut loves spending time with her people and will happily curl up beside you or even sneak under the covers at bedtime. Loud noises might get her barking for a moment, but she settles down quickly and stays close. Peanut gets along well with other dogs but would also enjoy being the only canine in the house. While she hasn't spent a lot of time with young kids or other types of pets, she's proven herself friendly and open to new faces on her daily walks. She’s used to a stable environment where she is loved and cherished. Peanut is house trained and easy to care for, making her a good fit for many types of homes. Ready to fall in love? Questions about Peanut
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
A Chihuahua/Dachshund mix like Peanut is adaptable, but does best in a quiet, stable home with people around to give her attention. She’s equally comfortable in apartments or small houses, as long as she gets her walks and has a cozy place to curl up.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Peanut is small and doesn’t require a big yard. Daily walks and a safe space to explore are more important than lots of property. She’d be happy in a home with a patio, yard, or access to daily walks.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahua/Dachshund mixes like Peanut can do well with gentle, respectful children, especially if properly introduced. Since Peanut hasn’t spent much time around kids, a home with dog-savvy children or adults would suit her best.
