Fiona #4 | 5-month-old Mix | Belly rub enthusiast Fiona is a 5-month-old mixed breed sweetheart weighing about 25 pounds, and she is the perfect combination of playful puppy energy and affectionate cuddle buddy. This black-and-white beauty loves toys, chewing bones, car rides, and adventures out on walks, but she is just as happy rolling over for belly rubs and soaking up affection from her people. Fiona is doing wonderfully in foster care and is almost fully house trained. She is already showing great habits by sniffing around the door when she needs to go outside. She is also crate trained, settles well when left alone, and sleeps through the night in her kennel like a champ. On leash, she does pretty well overall, though she can get a little excited and pull at times — typical puppy stuff! She has had positive interactions with every dog she has met and would likely love a home with another playful canine companion. While she has not met cats or children yet, her foster believes she would likely do well with respectful kids, though adopters should expect normal puppy behaviors like play biting and jumping while she continues learning her manners. Fiona already knows “sit,” “wait,” and “no,” and she is very motivated by food, toys, and affection, which makes training fun and rewarding. She is a smart, social girl who thrives with activity, stimulation, and continued socialization. Whether it’s walks, hikes, playtime, or learning new things, Fiona is happiest when she gets both physical exercise and mental enrichment. Her ideal home would be one that can continue helping her grow into a confident, well-rounded adult dog through structure, consistency, and lots of love. She would especially enjoy an active household with people coming and going, another dog, or a yard to play in — but most importantly, she just needs a family committed to giving her the engagement and companionship she craves. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $475 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
