Mingo
AvailableMingo is a small, long-haired mixed breed senior currently in Watertown, WI. His beautiful coat combines white, silver, and dark gray shades and will need routine grooming to stay healthy. He is a neutered male, vaccinated, and house trained. Mingo gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy a quiet, adult home. Though he has no current major medical needs, he does manage allergies with daily medication and will benefit from some assistance with stairs due to a mild heart murmur and cloudiness in his eyes.
About Mingo
Mingo is a sweet, gentle senior looking to spend his golden years somewhere calm and comfy. This Teddy Bear mix weighs around 10.8 pounds and, at about 10 years old, prefers a soft, cushy bed or a cozy lap. He thrives on being close by and loves the simple company of people. After losing his previous owner and being transferred through animal welfare partners, Mingo has shown remarkable resilience. He’s friendly, easygoing, and gets along well with other dogs. Mingo does have some typical senior traits—his eyes show a little cloudiness, and he may need help with stairs or ramps outside, but he adapts quickly, loves brief outdoor time for leisurely sniffing, and will let you pick him up without issue. He’s house trained, keeps his crate tidy, and sleeps quietly through the night. Mingo’s coat is a mix of white, silver, and dark gray; though a bit thin, it’s coming in well and will need regular grooming, especially around his eyes and ears. He takes daily allergy medicine to keep comfortable but doesn’t need heart meds for his mild murmur. Toys and rambunctious play aren’t really his style—Mingo is happiest in a chill home, preferably with adults. He hasn’t met cats or children, and would do best where things are peaceful. Give this deserving senior the soft landing he’s been waiting for. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
