About Lena

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Lena! Lena is a one-year-old mixed breed who arrived in Wisconsin on August 23 after spending five months in a shelter. Full of love for food, toys (especially anything she can carry in her mouth), and playing with her foster siblings, Lena is happiest when she's with her person and not crated. She's mastered the stairs and walks well on a leash, but due to her vocal nature, she isn't suited for apartment or duplex living. Lena's athleticism means she can jump on counters, and she thoroughly enjoys the water. Lena currently shares her foster home with several dogs and gets along well with them—although she's still perfecting her ball-sharing skills! Her ideal home would be with someone retired, working from home, or who isn’t gone long during the day. While Lena would love an active canine buddy, as long as she receives plenty of exercise and attention, she'll thrive. She forms bonds quickly, having made many friends at dog events of all ages and dispositions. Though she hasn't met any cats, she's open to cat testing. Lena is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and current on her vaccinations and preventatives. She's looking for a forever family willing to give her the exercise and companionship she craves. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
