About Lena
Lena is a one-year-old mixed breed who spent five months in a shelter before heading to Wisconsin. She’s got a bold streak—very vocal, not suited for apartment or duplex living, and athletic enough to leap onto counters. Anything involving food, toys (especially balls), water, or cuddling with her person ranks high on her list. Lena gets along well with her foster siblings, though she can get protective over her toys. She’s working on sharing and loves both canine and human company. Stairs pose no problem, and she walks well on a leash. Lena prefers being with people rather than crated and would thrive in a household where someone is around most of the day. Another energetic dog would be a plus, but isn’t required as long as her exercise needs are met. She’s been friendly at public events and comfortable meeting humans of any age, but hasn’t been introduced to cats—she can be tested if needed. A home with access to a yard and someone who appreciates her lively, affectionate side is ideal. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
