FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Slade! Slade is a 1-year-old, 50 lb Vizsla mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. This handsome young guy is sweet, sensitive, and looking for a home where he can truly settle in and blossom! Slade can be a little shy at first, especially in new environments, but underneath that reserved exterior is a very loving and affectionate dog. He’s currently a bit kennel stressed, so he would greatly benefit from a calm, structured home where he can decompress, relax, and gain confidence at his own pace. Once he feels safe and comfortable, Slade’s playful and active side starts to come out. He has a good amount of energy and would love an active home that enjoys walks, adventures, and spending time outdoors with their dog. He does well with other dogs, though he prefers slower introductions so he has time to observe and get comfortable before jumping into interactions. With patient guidance and continued positive experiences, he continues to open up more and more. Slade is looking for adopters who understand shy dogs and are willing to give him the time, structure, and reassurance he needs to thrive.
