Hi… I’m Ash! I’m a 1-year-old German Wirehair girl with a BIG heart, lots of love to give, and honestly… a little bit of worry about the world sometimes, too. When I know you, I become *your girl.* Loyal, cuddly, playful, and always wanting to be close by your side. I LOVE fetch, toys, adventures, car rides, and snuggling up for pets after a long day. I’m house trained, crate trained, and I’ve lived with kids ages 10, 7, and 5 and did wonderful with them. I also did great with the other dog in my home and with dog friends who came to visit. But meeting new people can make me nervous at first. I bark and growl when I’m unsure because I don’t know what’s expected yet. Once I realize I’m safe, though, I warm up and become such a sweet, affectionate girl. I really bond deeply with my people. I’m looking for someone patient and confident who understands that shy dogs sometimes just need a little time and reassurance. I don’t want to be “fixed”… I just want someone willing to help me feel secure and loved.
