Let us tell you the story of Slush.. Slush came to TCR back in December as a small, sick, and VERY scared kitten. She was saved from the freezing cold alongside her littermates who adjusted to indoor life fairly quickly and found their forever home months ago. It was clear from the beginning that little Slush needed some additional time and convincing that people are not so scary. Since entering foster, Slush has come a LONG way- every day she transforms more and more into a happy and playful house cat! Each day she becomes more curious about humans and is finally starting to realize just how nice pets can be. Slush LOVES churu treats and despite her initial nervousness she cannot resist them and stay away. She can identify as soon as you open one and will come right up to you to claim her reward. Daily treats have been transformative for Slush and have been KEY in gaining her trust. She accepts pets and sometimes even purrs during treat time from her foster mom. Slush is also very playful- she thoroughly enjoys the wand toy, anything that dangles, spiral toys, and toys with catnip in it! Slush thrives off the company of other cats and will need to go home with a foster-mate (she particularly likes Monk Fruit!) or to a home with a resident cat to keep her company. She is still skittish at times so younger children may make her uneasy. Slush has recently been approaching her foster mom for curious hand sniffs and to receive gentle pets and scratches along her back- she definitely enjoys it as she doesn't run away now and frequently starts to loudly purr! She just sometimes needs a gentle reminder that you are there to love on her. Slush will need someone who is patient to give her the time she needs to feel comfortable but we do believe with time she will continue to let her guard down and become a sweet companion for a quieter household. Slush is about 8 months old. She is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
