Meet Clancy, a seven-year-old German Shepherd mix weighing 66 pounds. Clancy is a resilient, sweet-natured boy who’s ready to leave his tough past behind and find a family of his own. After being brought in injured from a car accident, Clancy underwent surgery and recovered in a loving foster home with a veterinarian. His pins have now been removed, he’s fully healed, and he’s more than ready to start his next chapter. Clancy is happiest when he’s out exploring the world with his people. He rides great in the car, enjoys playing in water, walks nicely on leash, and gets along well with other dogs. He’s a sensitive soul who can become stressed in a kennel environment, but once outside he relaxes and truly shines. Because Clancy can resource guard food and toys, we recommend a home without young children and with adopters who can continue helping him feel safe and secure. In the right environment, Clancy is a loyal and loving companion who just wants comfort, patience, and a place to belong.
