Say hello to Gidget! This little Papillon/Chihuahua mix is 8 years old and weighs 7 pounds, Gidget's most notable feature is her fluffy, expressive ears that stand at attention when she trots. She has a soft, gentle nature and loves nothing more than being coddled, and cuddled, tucked in your arms, snuggled against your chest, or curled up beside you while you relax. She bonds quickly and deeply, especially with other dogs her size, or someone who enjoys giving affection as much as she loves receiving it. Gidget is quick to show affectionate, and eager to be your little shadow. She’s the perfect match for someone looking for a tender, loyal companion who brings warmth and softness into every day. Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second Chance SPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet. ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
