Nacho is an adorable, outgoing Chihuahua with a big personality packed into a tiny body. He loves people, enjoys playing with other small dogs, and is happiest snuggled up with his humans. Nacho came into rescue as part of a 47-dog seizure in Collin County, where the dogs were living in very poor conditions without veterinary care. Thanks to CRT, he’s now safe, thriving, and ready for his forever home. In foster care, Nacho enjoys running, playing, and discovering squeaky toys. He loves lounging in the sun and rolling in the grass. He does best with small dogs (under 10 pounds), as larger dogs can make him nervous. Nacho is affectionate, social, and a true cuddle bug. His favorite place is curled up on your chest. He’s also active and tends to stay right at your feet, so adopters should be mindful to avoid tripping. He’s doing well with potty training, uses pads as a backup, does not “mark” in the house and walks on a harness and leash. Nacho is about 1–2 years old and weighs around 4.8 pounds. Because of his tiny size, he will need close supervision outdoors and a very secure yard with solid fencing (no chain link or wrought iron). Maintaining a healthy weight will also be important, so his food should be measured and monitored. Nacho would do best in a moderately active home with another small, playful dog and a family who is home regularly. He may bark at unfamiliar noises, so an apartment is not ideal.
