About Rory

Rory is ready to take on the world with his big personality packed into his small frame. His age is about 1.5 years, and, though his mix is a mystery (Maltese? Spaniel? Terrier?), he’s the kind of dog that turns heads with his fluffy, gold-and-white coat—no shedding, either. Rory arrived scared and withdrawn at the shelter, earning an unfair label, but he’s proven himself to be all sweetness, eager to meet both dogs and people, if a little shy at first. He can’t help but jump up to say hello on walks. This pup loves attention, belly rubs, and climbing up wherever he can, with a playful streak that sometimes leads him to poke around in places he shouldn’t (watch your garbage and valuables). Rory doesn’t seem destructive and is mostly interested in being close to people. He’s getting the hang of house training—he squats and isn’t a marker—though you should expect some adjustment at home. Rory gets along with other dogs and is happy as an only dog, craves affection, and could adapt to nearly any family. He hasn’t shown much barking or separation anxiety. Cat tolerance is untested, but his submissive nature suggests he could get along. You’ll find in Rory a loving shadow who just wants to belong. Click apply to start the adoption process.
