About Charles Arriving D

Charles is a laid-back, low-maintenance dog who prefers to keep life simple. He enjoys being near his people, soaking up attention, and then finding a good spot to nap. He's quiet for his breed, walks well on a leash, and does great in his crate, which makes him easy to live with day to day. Charles is not fully house trained and will need consistency and routine to get there. He can have accidents and is known to eat poop, so his space needs to be kept clean and his schedule managed closely. He is food motivated, which helps with training, but also means he can get a little intense when food is involved. He may guard food at times and should be fed in his kennel separate from other animals to avoid competition around meals. He does get along with other dogs otherwise. He has lived with kids before and enjoys people, so a family home can work as long as expectations are clear and consistent. Charles is all about the relaxed life. He will happily choose a nap over activity most days, unless food is involved, then he suddenly has a lot more energy and determination. He does best with someone who is home enough to keep him on a routine and willing to stay on top of his habits. He's not complicated, but he does need structure. With the right setup, he's an easy companion who just wants a calm place to land and someone to hang out with. Charles is from Texas.
