Meet Maximus Maximus is a 1-year-old pit bull who was originally adopted from us in September and recently returned due to his owner not having enough time for him. Sadly, this is Maximus' second surrender, both times through no fault of his own, and he's hoping his next home will finally be his forever one. According to his previous owner, Maximus has lived with other dogs but has not been around cats. Staff have observed that Maximus is a strong, energetic young dog who can be barrier reactive in the shelter environment and tends to pull hard on leash during walks. Despite his excitement, he already knows how to sit on command, showing he's eager to learn and responds well to guidance. Maximus would thrive with an adopter who can provide structure, consistency, and continued training to help him channel his energy in positive ways. He's still young and has lots of potential to grow into a wonderful companion with the right leadership and commitment.
