Like his dad and brothers, Rico appears to be some wonderfully mixed combination of Chihuahua, hound, and maybe even a little Dachshund or Basset influence tossed in for extra personality. The turned-out feet, compact build, and expressive little face definitely run in the family. While Rico shares a lot of the same lovable qualities as Paco and Tito, volunteers say he may be the social butterfly of the bunch. Rico is very friendly, enjoys attention, allows himself to be picked up easily, and does nicely on leash. He has that happy little ready for adventure attitude that makes you smile instantly. Despite being small, Rico has plenty of personality packed into his compact frame. Whether hes trotting around with his family, investigating the yard, or bouncing over for attention, he carries himself with the cheerful confidence of a dog who genuinely enjoys people. And with that lighter cream-colored coat and permanently happy expression, hes especially hard to resist. Like the rest of the Pocket Hound Clan, Rico is still adjusting to all the changes in his life, but he already seems eager to connect and be part of the fun.
