About Gardenia
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Gardenia is a sensitive, soulful girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. When she first meets new people, she can be very fearful and needs patience and gentle understanding. Give her a little time, though, and she’ll show her true self—one who just wants to curl up in your lap and feel close to her person. She would do best as the only pet in the home while she continues to work on her social skills. Gardenia forms deep, meaningful bonds with her people and will be incredibly devoted to the person who earns her trust. She’s looking for someone able to spend much of the day with her, offering consistency, comfort, and reassurance. Gardenia needs a calm environment with children aged 13 and up who can respect her boundaries and help her grow in confidence at her own pace. For the right person, she will be an unbelievably loving and loyal companion. Make their next chapter their best one yet.

Questions about Gardenia
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahua/mixed breeds usually thrive in a quiet, loving indoor environment where they can build trust with their families. They do well in apartments or houses with a calm atmosphere.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Small breeds like Chihuahuas and most mixed breeds are comfortable with limited outdoor space. Regular walks and opportunities to explore a secure yard or park are typically enough for their exercise needs.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahua/mixed breeds can be suitable for homes with older, gentle children who know how to respect a dog's boundaries, though very young or boisterous children may overwhelm them.
