Meet Tawny! Tawny is a charming 8-week-old kitten with a bright, playful spirit and a sweet, easygoing personality. She enjoys tumbling through play sessions with her siblings, batting at toys, and investigating anything new that catches her attention. She has a gentle affectionate side as well and is just as happy to pause for pets and quiet moments as she is to join in on kitten games. After she's had her fill of fun, Tawny loves settling in for a warm, cozy nap nearby. Tawny would do wonderfully in a home ready for the joy and energy of a young kitten, along with plenty of love and patience as she grows. Because kittens thrive with companionship and learn important social skills from one another, Tawny should be adopted with another kitten or into a home with a friendly, playful young cat. Tawny is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. Her mother tested positive for FIV after likely being bitten by an infected cat prior to rescue. While kittens born to an FIV+ mother will almost always test positive for the virus, they are usually only carrying her maternal antibodies, not the virus itself. The vast majority of these kittens will test negative by the time they are 6 months old as their own immune systems mature.
