About New Girl Litterjess

Meet Jess — the 9-week-old Great Pyrenees who already acts like she owns whatever room she walks into. This fluffy little teddy bear came to us from a rural farm in Kentucky, and she has not let a small detail like being 10 pounds stop her from having the biggest personality in the house. She confidently trots up to new people, crawls on dogs many times her size, and has already decided that slow breakfast prep is simply unacceptable. (She will let you know. Loudly.) At just 9 weeks old, Jess is already nearly housebroken — one accident since arriving in foster care, which frankly puts some adult dogs to shame. She sleeps through the night, plays happily with the other dogs in the house for hours, and is unfazed by big dogs, small dogs, or pretty much anything life throws at her. Confidence? She has it in spades. Fair warning: Jess is a talker. Whether she's announcing that dinner is late, greeting a new friend, or filing a formal complaint about her crate, she is not the strong and silent type. She's a Great Pyrenees, after all — the breed was literally bred to bark at wolves. Your breakfast is close enough. Jess would do great in a home with: Dogs of all sizes (she has zero concept of being the small one) Older kids who can handle a spirited, wriggly puppy Someone with patience for puppy training — she's still learning the crate and, well, everything, but she's a very quick study What she's still working on: Crate manners (the protests are... passionate), not chewing everything within reach, and general puppy things that come with being, you know, a baby. Jess is a joy, a clown, and a cuddle bug all wrapped in a cloud of white fluff. She is going to make someone an absolutely wonderful dog — and she will absolutely remind you when it's dinnertime. Adoption fee is $500 and includes spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only. STS is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes and once an application is approved and a home visit is completed you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
