About Leia
Leia is a large, older mixed-breed dog with a gentle soul and a resilient heart. She’s about seven years old, DNA-proven to be half Great Pyrenees and a blend of Cane Corso, Pit Bull, and American Bulldog. Her early life was nothing but hardship—crated constantly and bred with no affection—but she’s left that behind. Leia has grown healthy, playful, and eager to be part of a family. She gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids, and she’s housebroken and crate trained. She loves curling up on the couch, relishes treats, and has recently discovered how much fun it is to play in the yard. Food is her passion, so she should eat separately from other pets—years of going hungry made her a bit protective around the bowl. Leia needs a secure, sturdy fence or an adopter committed to regular walks. If wildlife appears, her curiosity gets the better of her, so don’t trust a flimsy fence. She’s working on leash skills and responds well to training, especially when food’s involved. Leia is in Columbus, OH, and adopters must be Ohio residents. You’ll need to meet her in person, and if it’s a match, plan to take her home the same day. Being a Taurus (born May 21), Leia brings steadfast loyalty wherever she goes. Your new best friend is just one click away.
