The other dogs picked on me constantly. And instead of fighting back, I just…tried to disappear. That’s who I am. Soft. Gentle. Quiet. The kind of dog who folds into herself instead of causing trouble. Right now, the world feels overwhelming. New sounds scare me. Fast movements scare me. Being noticed scares me. But even through all that fear, there’s something incredibly special about Promise. She wants to trust. You can see it in the way she watches people carefully instead of shutting down completely. In the way her tail wants to move but isn’t quite sure it’s safe yet. In the tiny moments where curiosity starts fighting its way through fear. Promise does not need a loud home.
