Meet Precious, a three-and-a-half-year-old Cattle Dog/Pit mix weighing 60 pounds. She came to us as an owner surrender due to her previous family going through personal challenges, and she’s now looking for a stable, loving home where she can truly settle in and thrive. Precious is a lovely medium-sized dog with a soft, friendly personality. She is currently a bit on the chunky side and would benefit from a healthy diet and regular activity to help her feel her best. The good news is she is food motivated, which makes her an excellent candidate for continued training and positive reinforcement as she works toward her fitness goals. She already knows several commands including "sit," "down," and even "roll over," showing off both her intelligence and her willingness to engage with people. Precious is also great on leash, making walks enjoyable and easygoing — she’s happy to stroll alongside her person and take in the world at a relaxed pace. One of her most unique and beautiful features is a striking blue fleck in one of her eyes, adding to her gentle, soulful expression. She has a calm, good-natured temperament and is described as a "good girl" through and through. Precious also does well with other dogs, making her a nice option for a home with existing canine companions, provided they are a good match. She seems to enjoy companionship and would likely thrive in a home where she can feel included, loved, and part of the family. With her sweet nature, trainable mind, and affectionate personality, Precious is ready to be someone’s loyal companion and cherished best friend.
