About Belladonna

Belladonna arrived in rough shape, nearly paralyzed from a backyard rescue and in critical condition. Emergency care made all the difference—she went from barely being able to lift her head to sitting, standing, and eating again. But right before Christmas, she had another setback: rapid, labored breathing that landed her in the hospital for a week on oxygen. Testing showed histoplasmosis, a rare and serious fungal infection, which meant months of antifungal treatments and oxygen support. SBACC set her up with an oxygen chamber at the shelter and, step by step, Belladonna pulled through. Today, she’s bright, affectionate, and loves attention. She’s playful, demands cuddles, and wants nothing more than a lap to curl up on. Belladonna is healthy and spayed, ready for her next chapter with someone who appreciates a survivor. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
