Meet Abby & Zelda! Abby and Zelda are an adorable bonded pair of 10 year old female Chihuahua mixes who are looking for a forever home together. These sweet senior girls each weigh around 12 pounds, though both would benefit from shedding a few pounds and getting closer to the 8–10 pound range. Zelda is a bit more overweight than Abby, but both girls are happy, loving little companions who are ready to enjoy their next chapter together. These two were sadly surrendered to a shelter, but despite everything, they remain incredibly sweet, trusting, and affectionate. Abby and Zelda are wonderfully people-friendly, very easygoing, and truly a joy to have around the house. They have calm, loving personalities and are the kind of dogs who simply want to be close to their people and enjoy a peaceful, comfortable life. They are fantastic with other dogs and even do well with cats. They sleep together in their crate at night and are very bonded to one another, providing comfort and companionship to each other every day. They are house trained and do especially well using a doggy door to go outside. Both girls are highly food motivated — which is part of how they became a little chunky — but it also makes them fun and easy companions who are always excited for snacks, mealtime, and treats. With a little help maintaining a healthier routine, they’ll continue thriving. We know bonded pairs can sometimes be harder to place, but Abby and Zelda truly are such special little dogs. Their gentle, loving personalities and the sweet bond they share make them incredibly rewarding companions. They absolutely adore each other and must stay together.
