About Doreen
Doreen is a small Jindo and Chihuahua mix whose early years were defined by fear and uncertainty in a Korean shelter. For a long time, she shrank from human presence, trembling in the shadows and watching others leave without her. The shift began when she moved into a patient foster home, where she learned—slowly—that not every hand reached out to harm. Step by step, Doreen built trust, first with her caregivers and then with the wider world. Now, she's become a social and curious soul, always ready for a walk, sniffing new scents, and soaking up sunshine with the confidence she fought so hard to earn. Doreen stands out with her long white legs and strikingly pretty face, traits that have earned her playful supermodel comparisons. She takes joy in treats and running with other dogs and, though she still greets new faces with a hint of shyness, she no longer freezes. Instead, she'll step forward for a greeting, eager for gentle affection. Doreen is house trained, spayed, up to date on vaccines, and ready for a calm, loving home that sees her gentle spirit. She’s left her harder days behind her for good and is looking for a family who can see her as she is now—resilient, affectionate, and ready to live boldly.
