About Hugo
Hugo started life in South Korea under harsh conditions—his mom, a pregnant stray, survived a wild boar trap and gave birth at a struggling shelter before rescue brought both her and Hugo to safety. Now about a year old, Hugo has made it all the way to New Jersey where he’s waiting for a real family of his own. People who meet Hugo notice his soulful eyes and soft, plush muzzle right away. He’s energetic, food-driven, and eager for affection—a big fan of couch snuggles, window gazing, and making new friends. Hugo brings a sunny spirit to any room, and he gets along very well with people, other dogs, and cats too. He’s the type who sticks close to his humans, gives lots of kisses, and settles in for cuddles without hesitation. Hugo already knows what it means to be loved by a family and returns that love tenfold. If you want a companion who’s both cheerful and gentle but also playful and bright, Hugo’s ready to join your adventures. He’ll pour gratitude and happiness into your days.
