Maple is a young energetic girl who is estimated to be 1yr old. She is spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. She has the most gorgeous golden eyes and white speckled legs and paws. She is currently located in the wonderful state of Maine but can be adopted anywhere along the coast. We will say she LOVES the snow though so New England homes would be a dream. Maple was in the shelter for 4 months..which is almost half her life! Shelter life is all that she has known and moving into a home is a huge step for her. She has made huge strides in her foster home who has been bringing her out and about to explore the world. She is also in need of learning some manners- she is mouthy when she is playing with both dogs and humans…cattle dog genes. Dogs must be able to match her go go go playstyle. If she becomes too much handler intervention may be needed to get her to calm down a bit or let the other dogs rest .. she is miss energetic. She has gotten much better at taking cues from two senior dogs she lives with no. Cats are a no. Poultry is a no. Kids are a yes and she seems to know to be gentle with them. One of the rescue’s founders met her and said she just wonderful. Zero stranger danger. Walked right up to her and gave her big kisses. She did a multi hand off transport train and had no issues whatsoever. She is house and crate trained. Decent on the leash and good in the car too. Hiking partner anyone? She would love it!!
