About Sawyer
Click apply to start the adoption process. Sawyer truly might be the perfect dog! This precious boy has faced a tough past, but you’d never know it from his wonderful personality. Sawyer is sweet, calm, playful, and incredibly dog friendly. He’s smart, obedient, and both crate trained and trustworthy when left loose in the house (he’s not destructive at all)! He’s housebroken, loves car rides, walks beautifully on a leash, and is honestly one of the coolest dogs you’ll ever meet. Though he’s been let down before—including being allowed to get heartworms by his former owner—Sawyer persevered. He has now completed treatment for heartworm and is doing well, ready to move on to the loving home he truly deserves. This large hound/cattle dog mix weighs about 55 pounds and is about 4-5 years old. Sawyer’s ideal home has a fenced yard (he loves to prance and play!), another friendly dog, and older children (10+). Both the fence and doggy companion are required. He’s ready for that second chance with a loving family to cherish him. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
