About Brody
Brody is a 3-year-old black lab mix who’s still figuring out that the world isn’t out to get him. His past involved a hoarding situation, so new faces and places make him nervous, and he’s looking for someone who understands slow and steady wins the race. He’s enrolled in Confidence College, getting braver day by day and comes with a free training session to help him transition. When Brody settles in, he turns into a calm, sweet, and easy companion. He loves to go for walks, and outdoor adventures are his favorite way to bond—he’s happiest with a good sniff and some sights to see. Toys and chews are a huge hit for him; he’s a strong chewer who needs enrichment like puzzle feeders to stay occupied. Brody does best meeting potential dog friends before going home, and a fenced yard will help him feel secure. He needs to live in a home where kids are 6 or older, and he’ll need a martingale collar for safety when out and about. He’s shy around new people and situations, but once Brody trusts you, you’ll have a loyal, relaxed sidekick for the adventures ahead. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Labrador Retrievers are generally very good with children, but given Brody’s background, he would be best in a home with kids over 6 who understand how to interact gently and patiently with nervous dogs.
