About Compheree Duchess

General Notes | Duchess, who goes by Noodle in her foster home, is an absolute gem! If you are looking for a companion who is as wiggly, silly, and wonderful as her name suggests, here she is! Noodle is a bundle of joy who is ready to slide right into your heart and home. True to her name, she is all soft curves and happy wiggles. She has that classic, playful lab spirit and a curious nature that makes every day an adventure. Whether she is wiggling around the backyard exploring new scents or twisting herself into a cozy ball for a nap in your lap, she brings a smile to everyone she meets. Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP, and an Adoption Coordinator will be in touch within a few days. Our standard application processing timeline is 12 - 14 days. Personality | Noodle is the life of the party! She's playful, energetic, and curious. As a young puppy, Noodle is a blank slate ready for training and socialization. She is already showing how smart she is—highly motivated by treats and even more motivated by praise and affection. She is looking for a family that will embrace the "puppy shenanigans" and guide her with patience and love as she grows into a loyal, well-mannered adult dog. Story | Dumped in rural Texas, a local rescue stepped in to keep these puppies safe until they could make their way to Colorado to find their forever families! She was placed with a foster in TX for three weeks before making her way to Colorado to live a great life of adventure! She is sweet, well socialized now, and so excited to continue to grow and learn. ***Duchess is a lab MIX with high emphasis on the mix. While she looks chocolate, her siblings look different and adopters need to understand that the rescue does not guarantee breed*** Other Dogs | Great with other dogs! Similar to her sister, Noodle is playful but respectful! When her foster siblings growl or set the tone that they don't want to be messed with, she rolls over or walks away. She is great at reading the room, and knowing their boundaries. She likes to snuggle, follows her foster siblings around, and encourages them in play by dropping toys at their feet. Cats | She is young enough to do well with kitties with proper intros! Her fosters think she would do great with a kitty sibling. Children | She is young enough to do well with kind, respectful kiddos. She loves loves loves snuggles and would thrive with littles who want to teach her, give her attention, and cherish her! Training | In progress. Duchess/Noodle is 75.3929% potty trained, sleeps in a crate at night, and has mastered "sit." The rest of her training is in the works! Leash | Too little to leash walk, but will learn with time! Our rescue follows “No Paws on the Ground" (NPOG) as a safety protocol for young puppies, primarily used by veterinarians, shelters, and rescues. It means that an unvaccinated or partially vaccinated puppy should never be allowed to put their feet on the ground in any public or communal area where other dogs or animals may have been. These babies love to play in secure yards, and be snuggled and held on family walks. Activity Level | Moderate/High. Typical puppy who loves to play, nap, repeat! Health Notes | Healthy and happy :) UTD on all vaccinations. Thank you! Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $575 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year old, $525 for 1 - 6 years old, $475 for dogs 7 - 10 years old, and $350 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $625. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, transportation to Colorado, and supplies while in foster care (that currently average over $750 per dog). Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet and greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. We will not respond to emails about animal availability or allow meet and greets without an approved adoption application on file. Please Note | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for one year from the date of applying for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!
