Coltonobre Callie spent her early months surviving on the streets of Texas with a little canine crew, each dog looking out for the others until a network of kind strangers gave them a shot at real security. Now 8 months old and thriving in foster care, Callie is a Lab mix with a gentle, affectionate heart. At first, she’s shy with new people, but she’s learning to open up—each tail wag a step closer to trust. In her foster home, she's been steadily blossoming, soaking up new experiences and giving back more love as her confidence builds. Callie is fully house trained and kennel trained, with a moderate activity level and a personality that readily adjusts to her environment: playful when it's time, content to lounge when things quiet down. She absolutely shines around other dogs—canine company lights her up and she seems happiest with one or two friendly pup companions. She’s proven respectful and cautious around all animals, so a home with a cat could be a good fit, too. She’d do best with older, considerate kids. Leash walks are still new territory, but she's eager to learn and quick to pick up routine. Callie is up to date on vaccinations and in good health.
