About Chiquita
Chiquita lost her home after her elderly owners couldn’t care for her anymore. She’s a sharp, affectionate little Maltese/Poodle mix who thrives on routine and closeness to her person. Chiquita does well with other dogs, sleeps quietly in her crate through the night, and can be left alone during the day without issue. She enjoys car rides, outings, and especially working through training games for food rewards—she already knows several commands like sit, wait, down, come, and leave it. Chiquita’s behavioral history makes her best suited for an experienced and patient adult-only household. She can react when startled or woken unexpectedly and has shown some resource guarding, though this can be managed with consistent treat trades. Her person should be ready to keep building her confidence with positive reinforcement and attention to her triggers. In return, she’ll give her loyalty and affection to the right match. Ready to meet her? Apply and connect with a dog who wants to be your shadow. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
