Meet Layla Layla is a gorgeous tri-colored Australian Shepherd/Kelpie mix. She is stunning in person. Layla was surrendered when her owner could no longer care for her. She was gifted as a present to a son, who sadly didn’t have time for her as she grew up. Her owner turned to us to find her a loving and safe home where Layla would thrive. Layla is just three years old. She weighs 61 lbs. She has lived in a home for most of her life. She is housetrained and has terrific manners. She is very polite and looks to her people for guidance. Layla is athletic and energetic. She needs to exercise and run, but once her zoomies are out, she is calm and easier going. A fenced yard will be a must and will make Layla’s transition to your home that much easier. She loves playing fetch and chasing balls. Layla walks well on a leash, but can pull if excited, nothing that a gentle (or chest leader) might not correct. Layla has a sweet and gentle disposition. She will do well in an active family with older kids. We say older kids only for the reason that Layla doesn’t know her size and she could inadvertently knock over a toddler or smaller child unsteady on their feet in her excitement. Layla is a happy dog. She loves attention. She seems fine with bigger dogs, but she doesn’t seem to like cats. She travels in the car well. She loves being with her people. Layla has it all. We love this girl and know there is a home out there who will love her as much as we do.
