About Dash
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Dash, a charming and quirky Heeler mix with a tale as vibrant as his personality. Dash’s journey to the shelter began when he hopped into a stranger’s car hoping for snacks, only to find himself taken to safety instead. Adaptable and humorous, Dash quickly found his favorite place in the Administrative Supervisor's office after initially being overwhelmed by the shelter’s rowdy canines. Dash has shown incredible resilience, overcoming heartworm treatment in a loving foster home. He’s eagerly waiting for March 15th when he can get back to playing fetch and enjoying long walks. While Dash adores his foster parent, financial constraints mean he’s now searching for a forever family to love him just as much. Dash is a devoted companion, with a preference for women, but he’s open to homes where men will respect his quirks—like avoiding hats and loud power tools, which make him uneasy. Kids can be a challenge for him due to his Heeler instincts, and he prefers a calm adult-only home. He’s unsure around other dogs and isn’t a fan of cats. A true couch potato with an occasional playful streak, Dash is housetrained and takes pride in keeping his space clean, even if he gets a bit dramatic when it's time to go out. He loves belly rubs, cuddling on the couch, and snuggling up at bedtime. If you’re looking for a unique, affectionate companion ready to brighten your days and share lots of cuddles, Dash just might be your perfect fit. Appointments to meet Dash can be arranged through the Forsyth County Animal Shelter. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
