About Ace

Ace is a two-year-old Cane Corso and Pitbull Terrier mix who landed at the rescue in early May 2026. He’s packed with young energy and is happiest stretching his legs on walks or heading out on a hike. His leash manners could use some work—he tends to pull—and occasionally he jumps on people when excited, so he’ll need extra training there. Around the shelter team, Ace has been social and approachable. According to his previous owner, Ace also gets along well with other dogs. We haven’t observed him around cats or children, but he’s shown an overall friendly temperament. He wasn’t exactly thrilled about his vaccines but didn’t show any aggression. Ace is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, and his heartworm test was clear in early May. A dog meet and greet is needed before adoption if you already have pups at home. Questions about Ace

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Ace is a Cane Corso and Pitbull mix, which generally means he would do best in a home with plenty of space to move around, ideally with a fenced yard. He will benefit from an owner experienced with large, energetic dogs.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Being a large and active mix, Ace will need regular outdoor time and enough room to burn off energy—a yard or frequent walks are ideal.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Cane Corso and Pitbull mixes like Ace can be good in families, especially with proper training and supervision, but their strength and energy level are better matched to homes comfortable handling large dogs.
