MEET SPARKY! This friendly and adorable 27 pound mixed breed dog is waiting for you to meet him and fall in love! He's of moderate energy so he won't be running all over your house. He's relaxed and respectful, thoroughly enjoys playing with toys and also enjoys learning any new cues because he's very food motivated. Sparky was nervous when he first arrived - the change from living in a home to being here was a tough one for him but he has come so far and is such a sweetheart, very trusting and loving of people. He enjoys social walks and hiking adventures with other dogs and is very snuggly with people! Sparky's least favorite thing is being at the vet so he is looking for an adopter that will help him along when he needs vet care. Our behavior team here at ARL will provide you with resoureces on how to help make vet visits a positive experience. If he sounds like the dog for you please drop by to meet him. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY however, we are unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
