Twila’s story begins with a quiet, cautious girl, unsure of people and the strange new world around her, but with patience and gentle introductions, she slowly began to unfurl like a timid flower in spring; soon she was stepping forward to greet visitors at her kennel door, easing into her leash for calm walks, and leaning into the hands of those who moved at her pace. In her evaluation, she crept forward with a low posture, then surprised everyone by nearly climbing into laps once she felt safe, her tail wiggling and her eyes soft with trust. She played delicately with toys, startled only by louder sounds or quick movements, preferring slow, thoughtful moments. With time, kindness, and a bit of training, Twila is ready to flourish into the loving companion she’s clearly meant to be. This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5 day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested?
