About Charlie D

Charlie D is part goofy athlete, part loyal shadow, and definitely a branch collector. He’s young, eager to please, and genuinely wants to be someone’s main companion. Charlie thrives when he’s close to his people—on the couch, next to your desk, trailing from room to room, he’s there. While he’s independent enough to keep himself amused with toys and whatever socks or logs he finds, Charlie always prefers company. Smart and focused, Charlie D already knows basic commands like sit, down, and leave it. He’s quick to learn new things, sometimes too quick—as he can figure out latches and open gates by just observing once or twice. He needs a securely fenced yard since outside time is his absolute favorite. Walks are great, but he’s strong and reactive to dogs, squirrels, and, according to him, suspicious horses. Small pets and cats aren’t a match. He’s fully house trained, well-mannered for the most part, though a counter-surfing incident is possible. Charlie struggles with some separation anxiety and is working through this with medication. He’s crate trained but feels anxious if left in when you’re gone, unless it’s during a quiet car ride. He may bark at strangers at first, but once he sees there’s no threat, he warms up fast and wants to be friends. What he really needs is patience, structure, and someone who genuinely wants to guide him into the steadfast companion he’s ready to become. Fun fact: Charlie D is a Leo, which means he was born to stand out—bold, loyal, and eager for connection. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
