About Fennec

Fennec is a purebred Pomeranian who has just started looking for his forever people, along with his brother. Born in late 2025, he’s still a baby—sweet, gentle, and happiest being held or exploring the yard. Fennec enjoys playing with his brother and other friendly small dogs, and he’s shown he can settle in a crate quietly and keep it clean. He might be shy at first in new settings, but he’s always kind and seems ready to become someone's world. Fennec will need an adopter committed to regular grooming, with either professional experience, a groomer reference, or the skills and interest to do it at home. He must have a secure, visible fenced yard connected to the house, with no access to the driveway for safety, and apartments are not suitable. A sturdy crate (no wire or soft-sided models) is also required. Fennec is not yet house trained and needs a home without children. You’ll need to be in Western Washington or possibly Northern Oregon to be considered. Meet-and-greets take place in Poulsbo, WA. Special consideration will be given if you’re interested in adopting Fennec and his brother together. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Fennec

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Pomeranians like Fennec generally do well in homes with secure yards or in spaces where they receive enough supervision and companionship. They thrive where they can be part of the family and have room to safely explore.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

Fennec will be happiest with access to a secure, fenced outdoor area for play. While Pomeranians don't need a huge yard, they do need a safe space to run around and stretch their legs.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Pomeranians are small and can be sensitive to rough play, so a home with calm, older children or adults is better suited for a dog like Fennec.
