This little momma does not strike me as older than a year. Maybe even younger. A puppy having puppies. She is the brains of the group. The one making sure everybody survives. She is a little more serious than the other two stooges. She prefers calm pats and quiet moments. She wants no part in the backyard WWE puppymania. She is a sentinel. Always watching. Always making sure everyone is safe. When she decides it is time to stop playing, the others listen immediately. She is an incredible momma dog. Keeping her puppies warm, fed, protected. Making sure the other knuckleheads do not step on them. And when you finally sit down and let her relax, you see it. She unwinds like a dog that has already lived two lifetimes. Eyes closed. Head lifted. Gentle sighs. Like she is finally allowing herself a moment of peace. This world owes her a loving home. A place where she can fully unwind and just be a dog.
